What is the best tablet pc to get replace my laptop?

ok i have a laptop that is kind of old so i want to for my new one i want a tablet. what im looking for is pc in tablet for not a laptop that flips, or one of those that like the ipad touch, (to me the ipad touch is just a big ipod touch and i thought that was what i want) those normal tablets sees that all can do is use apps or programs that u have to use. i like apps but i want a tablet pc that i can go online and watch videos for free or donwload things for the net let a normal computer the ASUS Eee Slate EP121 PC seems to be what im looking for but im not to sure if that it. the one feture that want more than any thing is the ablity to suf the net in the car on the road, not hot spot jump but just like the ipad can that the only thing i want the ipad for, so any ideas from you guys out there?
