What are the name of those big spiders that spin zig zag webs?

They are black with yellow on their backs and huge. I have 4 or 5 on my bushes out front my house and just want to know if they are poisonous or not. I hate spiders because some are poisonous, if I knew they weren't I would just leave them alone
