How do I get this fish out of my tank?!?

I have a baby cichlid in my tank. I've tried using a bottle and food and only seem to get my adults caught (I'm shocked they even fit!). the tank is heavily decorated with stacked slate. Removing the slate will result in him being exposed and eaten. I don't want to leave his fate up to mother nature and have already set up a 20 gal for the tiny guy. It's also impossible to get the 20 odd adults in the tank out without removing the slate. I don't know what else I can do and my research has given no results. Any suggestions? Serious answers please! I've considered a turkey baster to suck him out : / but I'm afraid the stress will kill him.
